Jimmy Cliff ?Reggae’s greatest Third World Music Superstar Jimmy Cliff has a highly coveted 50 year legacy that’s still burning strong. On Rebirth, his latest 2013 Grammy Winning album (Best Reggae Album), he collaborated with punk-rock band Rancid’s frontman Tim Armstrong, on what he believes to be his own Artistic revival. Be sure to catch his rebirth as well as his all time classics like You Can Get It If You Really Want, Wonderful World, Beautiful People, Vietnam, Many Rivers to Cross this Easter.
Jimmy will be showcasing his new studio album Rebirth (2012) which was produced by none other than Tim Armstrong; the reggae obsessed front man of American punk-rock band Rancid. Although the two may seem an unlikely pair, Armstrong has cited Jimmy as his most admired artists and Jimmy says of the collaboration "He reminded me of a lot of things that I had forgotten….He brought me back to my roots." The two have received praise for their collaboration with rave reviews including;
