Bluesfest Touring

Matthew Curry supporting Robben Ford
Factory Theatre, Sydney
Thu 17 Apr 2014 - 06:00pm to 11:59pm

Introducing a very talented young man -17 year old Blues guitar phenomenon Matthew Curry.
Take just one listen and you actually won’t believe your ears, watch just one clip and the truly authentic gravelly blues voice and seminal Blues & Blues Rock Guitar will leave you speechless. It is however, not about his age, his seemingly effortless talent is why we knew he had to join our other guitar heroes on this year’s bill like Buddy Guy, Jeff Beck, Jimmie Vaughan and Gary Clark Jr.

"Matthew is an awesome talent! He has a natural feel on the guitar, as if he was born with a guitar in his hands!" -Ronnie Baker Brooks
Though this is his first trip to our shores he is already a veteran performer, jamming regularly with Tommy Castro, Bernard Allison, Bryan Lee, and Ronnie Baker Brooks – As well as opening for Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Sonny Landreth. Blues Blast Magazine nominated Matthew Curry in 2011 for an unprecedented three awards: Best Debut CD, Sean Costello Rising Star, and Best Blues song.

It does have to be seen to be believed and you tube will only get you so far – we can’t wait to welcome what is sure to be the first of many performances for Matthew Curry at Bluesfest.

Matthew Curry will be supporting Robben Ford at his show at the Factory in Sydney.
