Dr John bringing his Blues to Australia
Perhaps it was the tumultuous music career, the long fight with heroin and a stint in prison that inspired Dr John's latest album "Locked Down" to take out the Best Blues Album at the recent Grammy Awards.
Rock legend Dr John is set to tour the album to the Byron Bay Blues Fest and the Sydney State Theatre with his band, The Nite Trippers and he took the time to talk to Robbie Buck about the impending tour and how he got his break in music.
