After conquering Bluesfest in 2017, Patti Smith and Her Band took home the Helpmann Award that year for Best International Contemporary Concert. With a stellar band including her son, Jackson, this 2022 tour will be even better!

Smith’s legacy as an artist is already guaranteed. Her debut LP ‘Horses’ has been cited as one of the greatest albums of all time from numerous sources including NME and Rolling Stone and marks the beginning of a long and significant musical career for Patti Smith, one that resonates even greater today and has inspired countless others along the way. ‘Horses’ was followed by another nine albums of original material, books of poetry and a best-selling memoir, an induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, world tours and personal appearances.

Her award-winning books are ‘M Train’ (2015), ‘Just Kids’, and most recently ‘Year of the Monkey’ released on 24 Sept 2019. Aside from recording, performing, art and writing, Patti is strongly involved in social issues and continues to participate in various human rights organisations.

We are thrilled to welcome the legendary poet and punk rock artiste Patti Smith to Australia and New Zealand with open arms!

With a new album to share, following an incredible 2019 tour which still has his fans talking, soul and R&B singer Allen Stone is making a highly anticipated return!

From the basements and small clubs of Seattle to sold out shows across the world (including venue upgrades in Australia and New Zealand), Allen has taken the long tireless road to building an audience and dedicated fan base that is there for every word.

His latest album ‘Building Balance’ is a textured amalgam of R&B and soul, putting front and centre a fully evolved artist who has grown into his own and learned to balance and appreciate all parts of his life: the vices of the past and the gifts of the present, career and family, the brilliant highs and discouraging lows. Known for his witty, kitsch online videos, phenomenal stage presence and incredible vocals, Allen Stone loves to perform in Australia and New Zealand, and we are excited to welcome him back with open arms.

Founded in 1998 by best friends Jesse Hughes and Josh Homme, the Palm Desert pair came upon the band’s name in a pondering effort as to what a cross between The Eagles and a death metal band would sound like. With that, the band was born!

With a sound that’s a combination of Bluegrass slide guitar mixed with firing drumbeats and tantalising vocals from a front man known for his over-the-top stage histrionics and interaction with his fans; the survivors of the Bataclan shooting in 2015 are best known for classic hits like ‘Miss Alissa’, ‘Wannabe in L.A.’ and ‘Save a Prayer’. They’ve released four studio albums to date and have toured the world extensively over the past two decades; with a brand-new studio album ‘Eagles of Death Metal Present Boots Electric Performing The Best Songs We Never Wrote’ which was released in June 2019, featuring 13 covers of songs that have inspired Hughes over the years.

Always controversial, always on the edge – punters are in for a treat with these full-throttle high-intensity live shows.

As a musician, Mayall backed blues great John Lee Hooker, T-Bone Walker and Sonny Boy Williamson on their first English club tours before creating the Bluesbreakers in 1963 where he initiated future stars such as Eric Clapton, Peter Green, Mick Fleetwood and Mick Taylor to the scene.

John Mayall’s list of accolades in life is pretty impressive – a Lifetime Achievement Award from Blues Matters, an Officer of the Order of the British Empire by the Queen’s ‘Honours’ list, induction into the Blues Hall of Fame and two Independent Blues Awards to name just a few.

Today, Mayall is still working with the very best. His recent album ‘Nobody Told Me’ featured guest appearances from the likes of Alex Lifeson, Joe Bonamassa, Todd Rundgren and Steve Van Zandt. Continuing this tradition of working with the best in the business, his band includes Carolyn Wonderland on guitar, Greg Rzab on bass and Jay Davenport on drums. Don’t miss your chance to see this truly inspirational legend of the Blues live this April.
